How to change web hosts without downtime

1. Find a new web host and create an account with them
2. Transfer over to you to your new web host a copy of your website and make a backup copy of your complete website (save it to your computer)
3. Make sure your account with your new web host is at least 3 business days old (making sure the fraud department of your new web host has done all their checks and won’t bother you)
4. Change your nameserver at your domain registrar to your new web hosts nameservers
5. Wait 24 hours (make sure your are reaching your new web host) and do a complete transfer of the latest copy of your website’s data from your old web host to your new web host.
6. Verify everything is good to go and you should be able to cancel your old web hosting account
