Does your website need a content delivery network (CDN)? The answer varies by what kind of website you are hosting. If the website that you are operating has a lot of media content like: graphics, images, photos, videos, or music then a CDN may help. If your website is mostly text and only a few images then a CDN won’t make much of a difference.
If your website is being accessed by a lot of visitors from a lot of different countries then a CDN could increase the site loading time for visitors. If your website is hosted inside the United States or your home country and most of the visitors are from within your country then a CDN won’t make much of a difference.
If your website is providing a feature that requires low latency then a CDN would be an asset to add. Most of the time a CDN is not needed unless you are major ecommerce retailer or a media heavy website.
