If your site’s bandwidth is being eaten up by the Googlebot. You will have to enter into Google’s Search Console and change the setting so Googlebot doesn’t crawl as often.
When the Googlebot doesn’t crawl as often on your site. The bandwidth usage by Googlebot will decrease. The “freshness” or how often new pages on your site appears on Google’s search results will also change when the crawl rate is changed.
To change the crawl rate. You will have to enter Google Search Console. If your site hasn’t been verified then you will first have to verify your site before you can gain access to Google’s Search Console.
