GitLab has announced that the Git repository management provider and DigitalOcean will be partnering up to provide GitLab hosted users free GitLab Runner service. GitLab Runner service is a hosted application that handles process builds. The new service will be called GitLab Runner Autoscale.
GitLab also announced that GitLab Community Edition and GitLab Enterprise Edition users can use promotional codes to get credit on DigitalOcean to host their own Runners.
