It is being reported that Alibaba’s Aliyun cloud business will face more pressure as rival Ksyun increases focus. Kingsoft the software company behind: WPS Office, Kingsoft Internet Security, and Liebao browser has announced it will be giving the enterprise cloud business more focus. Kingsoft launched its web hosting service in early 2014 and continues to be actively present in the market under the name Ksyun.
Kingsoft has not actively promoted Ksyun beyond China but the service is available in mainland China. Ksyun is Kingsoft’s cloud business arm that offers: virtual private servers, load balancing, cloud servers, database hosting, data storage, CDN services, and more. Kingsoft’s chairman is the co-founder of Xiaomi, one of the top leading Chinese smartphone brand in the world.
